Carrypacks
Before AMV ever took a mobile
production truck down the road, we had
carrypacks. In fact, AMV pioneered many
carrypack innovations including the
networking of multiple carrypack systems
together. Even now with over twenty-two
trucks of diverse application in our
arsenal, carrypacks have not been
forgotten. At the 2004 National
Association of Broadcasters convention,
our “Matrix”
carrypack won the coveted
"Pick of Show" award recognizing our
continued innovation. Since then, Matrix
has done everything from transitioning
IndyCar to High Definition production
with 60 camera coverage, to broadcasting
live at sea aboard a cruise ship with
“Regis and Kelly.” Matrix has traveled
the world shooting in such exotic
locations as Nigeria, Ecuador, Thailand
and Vietnam. Whenever the highest
quality facilities are required, in High
or Standard definitions, not limited by
location, Matrix rivals the capability
of the best High Definition mobile units
out there.
AMV’s newest carrypack
emphasizes speed and cost effectiveness.
Featuring up to eight 1920x1080 Sony
PMW-EX3/350 cameras, our “HD Tapeless
Carrypack” offers
high quality images at affordable
price-points. This system is AMV's first
to offer High Definition tapeless
recording capability to solid state
memory cards. Best of all, the EX3/350
Carrypack is scalable, adding the
capability you need, without the
over-head of additional costs, excessive
weight or case count. Most importantly,
AMV's “HD Tapeless
Carrypack” is designed
with ease and speed of set-up and strike
in mind. The equipment is permanently
installed into furniture which travels
with the system to your show site and
rack-to-rack connections are done on
video and audio multi-couplers allowing
fast, repeatable inter-connect while
reducing miss-wiring errors.
Soon to be
offered is a spin-off variant of our HD
Tapeless Carrypack utilizing Sony’s new
PMW-F3
camera. This system will offer
producers the ability to shoot
multi-camera and live line-cut with the
elusive super-35mm narrow depth of
field, while still enjoying camera
functionality not typically available on
a PMW-F3 class camera. AMV’s
engineering solutions offer transmission
of HD video, gen-lock, time-code, audio,
return video, tally, iris and paint
control along with camera power all on
SMPTE fiber optic cabling.
AMV’s DM2000 Audio
Carrypack is our
latest addition. Designed with many cues
from our popular HD Tapeless Carrypack,
the DM2000 Audio
Carrypack is completely digital,
designed with cost-effectiveness, speed
of set-up and strike and ease of use in
mind. With 96 inputs, up to 48 mic-pres,
18 DA'd outputs and up to 48 track
record it is plenty powerful as
well! Whether you are “going live”
for transmission or tracking a band for
later re-mix, our DM2000 Audio
Carrypack will deliver great audio
while not breaking the bank.
AMV will also custom design a
carrypack solution to your requirements
and specifications. With thirty-plus
years of broadcast experience, AMV has
the ability to bring a full suite of
comprehensive resources to bear. From
mobile production to studios, post
production and duplication to
single-camera acquisition, mobile
satellite transmission to teleports with
fiber optics, satellite and microwave
connectivity, equipment sales and
rentals, our Account Executives and
Engineers have not only the right tools
but also the expertise to get your next
carrypack job done right!
